Thursday, 10 May 2007 – It was a hard time with the kids this time around. There was only one that we knew and everyone was very antsy. Half of them were under 10 making it even more difficult. The younger ones did not want to even introduce themselves. They were very stand offish. We tried the best we would to connect. All our efforts seemed to go to naught until we said lets watch a cartoon. Then it seemed that we reached a starting point for connecting. I hope that next week will not be so hard to reach them.

Friday, 11 May 2007 – We went back to the outpatient rehab center for the third time this week. And this time there were people there compared to last Friday when no one showed up. Larissa taught on Rational Christian Thinking. It is a very simple lesson to teach, but when you ask people to work it through a situation, it becomes more challenging. We helped on person who has been seriously struggling with his sobriety look at one reason why he relapses through a situation he gave us. I kind of felt sorry for him, because as we were helping him it was like 4 on 1. He had no hope but to find what the false beliefs were. I know that God knew just want he needed and that is why we all together were there to help me.

Saturday, 12 May 2007 – I started the counseling process with a new guy that my leader recommended to me for one on one counseling. I don’t know how to share about my counseling. I can’t give names or any details to you. This is why I have not mentioned any other long term counseling sessions to you. I will have to figure out what to do. I am sure as I develop more skills I will have more one on ones and I would like to give you a break down of what is going on in our ministry, so we will see. I’ll ask for some help on how best to handle this part.

This was a busy week.
